Let Pensacola Wellness Solutions help you fight against the signs of aging and restore your ability to maintain youthful looking skin. Juvederm® is an injectable treatment that uses hyaluronic acid (HA) to restore your youthful appearance. HA is a natural substance in the skin that provides nutrients that help your skin retain moisture and softness. Replenishing HA in your skin will also help add volume to the treated areas.
At Pensacola Wellness Solutions, Dr. Mitchell offers Juvederm® to patients in Pensacola and the surrounding Florida areas who desire a non-invasive wrinkle reduction treatment.
What Is Juvederm®?
Juvederm® injectable gel is an Allergan® product that Pensacola Wellness Solutions is a registered provider for. This long-lasting injectable is biodegradable and occurs naturally in your body. Juvederm® injections replenish hyaluronic acid (HA) in your skin. Without HA, skin loses its volume and structure which causes wrinkles to form over time. Juvederm® treatments re-hydrate your skin, and boosts the natural function of HA in your facial skin. Simply put, we are able to amplify the naturally existing nutrients in the skin to provide patients with a more youthful look without introducing other chemicals.
We’ve introduced Juvederm® Injectables because of the growing need for a natural way to reduce the signs of aging and improve the facial appearance among our patients and around the Pensacola area. Since we’ve introduced this fantastic anti-aging solution, our patients have utilized Juvederm® for:

- Moderate to severe folds and wrinkles in the face

How Juvederm® Works
The Consultation
Your initial consultation will include an in depth discussion with our medical professionals about the goals and expected results you wish to receive. Please prepare, or keep in mind, a list of important medical history information for our doctor to review, as we will need to ensure you are a good candidate for this treatment. The consultation will also include a physical exam.
The Procedure
Juvederm® injections occur in an office and take about 15 to 30 minutes for the first visit. Prior to the injection, the surface of your skin is cleaned with an antiseptic. The doctor then selects and marks the sites of injection just before administering Juvederm® below the dermis.
Before treatment, you are allowed to request a numbing agent to remove any discomfort you may be concerned about feeling as a result the Juvederm® injection.
The Recovery
Please review our Juvederm Aftercare instructions for detailed information about aftercare. Following the treatment, you may notice that your skin feels more full than normal. You may also experience temporary redness and swelling around the treated area. There is zero downtime after receiving Juverderm®, but we recommend avoiding alcohol and strenuous exercise for the rest of the day.
The Results
You only need one treatment to notice the improvements. Your body will eventually metabolize the injections, but the results could last for six months or longer. Long-term results can be achieved with repeated treatments.
